This is a place to unwind, relax and let go. Rest and recovery are a big deal to me, and everyone here finds their own favourite spot. I wish you plenty of joy, a good rest and always the right weather on the beautiful island of Fehmarn.

What makes a holiday in the Henkieker special

The story

I completely renovated the apartment in 2021, with great attention to detail, and furnished it anew. I designed every room individually and gave it a personal touch.

During the renovation I paid close attention to ecological building materials and sustainable materials. All rooms are fitted with high-quality furniture from local carpenters, and I chose the furnishings in regional shops.

From the balcony you can watch the sun set over the fields with a bottle of wine, and thanks to the quiet location the view of the countryside stays unobstructed. When it is cold, you can relax in the barrel sauna in the idyllic garden next to the hen house.

I am Tanja Buhse, born on Fehmarn, and I have 4 children, almost all of whom also live on the island. It was always my wish to host guests in my own holiday apartment. If you have questions about day trips and insider tips for the island, I am happy to help.

Holiday apartment on Fehmarn

Fehmarn: the name alone sounds like wind in your hair, sun on your face and freedom on the horizon. Anyone who has been here knows why you fall in love at once. The island has that special something, a mix of space, calm and joie de vivre. Barefoot to the beach in the morning, the sea glittering like liquid silver, gulls calling over the waves. Small voyages of discovery across fields and through charming villages during the day, and in the evening the sunset with a glass of wine.

Frequently asked questions

When can we arrive and when do we have to leave?

Arrival is possible from 3 pm, and departure is by 10 am.

What is included in the price?

The final cleaning is included in the price of the first night, and towels are provided. There are two parking spaces right in front of the apartment, and you can charge your electric car at the wallbox. The barrel sauna, the garden and the barbecue area are part of the apartment.

How is the price made up?

The first night includes the final cleaning. Each additional night is charged at a lower rate, so the longer you stay, the less each night costs.

May I bring my dog?

Dogs cannot be added online at the moment. Please get in touch before you book.

Is there a resort tax (Kurabgabe)?

Yes, a resort tax applies across Fehmarn. It is shown separately when you book and depends on the number of people and nights.

How does payment work?

At the moment I only accept enquiries through this website. We will agree how you pay before the booking is confirmed.
